Today, we have a biology test on AIDS.

   On the picture we can see four teenagers : two boys and two girls. They are wearing t-shirts
on which share is written.
They are probably working for an NGO. Maybe they are on a humanitarian trip.
 Astrid supposes they are raising money for a charity.
They are helping the girl with the problem on her knee.
Clara supposes the boxes in the background are donations for an association.
Raphaelle said in the background there were food in the boxes.
They are volunteers.

NEWS: 

Today, during the lunch time, someone is thought to have attacked the police station at "La
Goutte D'Or." The man had a knife with him and he tried going into the police station but a
policeman stopped him by killing him with a gun. It is not sure but the medias said he
carried some sort of explosif (we don't know what)
Raphaelle says we should wait until we know the truth about the attack.
Someone was doing fixing things at home when he saw a cloud of smoke.
Today, it is one year since the events of the 7th of January in 2015.
Yesterday was the Russian Christmas.
At lunch time, many tube stations were closed so the poor little Vadim arrived late!

idea. Ian's family is more quiet than Toula's family. Toula is stressed however she is polite.  
Ian's parents seem to agree with that wedding although they had rather have another
daughter-in-law.

Our history teacher is absent for the week.

What you will write next time :  
It was a dark night in December. There was a violent storm over the island. If you are
really strong read this story if you are not then you can leave it because you are going to
be my main character. For the people who are still reading this story good luck !
Firstly you are a little wizard, you have to think like a small wizard. Now keep your eyes
open and listen.
I saw you, you were running but you could not remember why. You came into a room and
you suddenly heard a growl. You tried to leave this horrible place, you ran through the
room you saw some shadows on the wall you were too scared to try to understand where
they were coming from. You tried to go out but all the doors were closed. You used your
magic power and you strated a fire. The shadows on the wall were still running only faster
now. The more you watched them the more you could see scared people in these strange
shadows. You turned round to see what was scaring them. The smoke was getting thicker
and its shadow projected on the wall looked like a huge monster.
At the beginning you did not realize the fire was coming from your hands. When you did
you tried to stop but it was too late.
You saw a window so you tried to break it.  You tried three times, the third time the glass
was broken, and your hands were covered with blood. The blood put off the fireof your
hands but the room was still burning ...

There are different steps before writing your story
1. Choose your story: the one your teacher is asking you to write if possible and write a
script (following page)
2. Choose your character :
the most interesting characters in stories are those based on real life people. So choose
someone you like or do not like and make it live in your story. It is easier and funnier :
Note  :
what they look like
the sound of his /her voice
the way they move
what they like
what they don't like
what they do when they are stressed, nervous / happy/ angry/ sad
what they wear ....

By using someone you know you will have a character that is not too ideal. Not all good
not all bad not a goodie or a baddie which will make your character more interesting.

Then write a script for your story, read it again and revise it !!

Revise your story

1. Do I have a clear beginning, middle and end?
2. Are my arguments / is my story clear?
3. Do I give enough support to make my character / story /ideas convincing?
4. Do I have transitions between the different parts of the story /paragraphs and
ideas?
5.  Do I need to change any words to make myself clearer or make my points
stronger?
6. Do my ideas / my paragraphs (my story) flow easily ? What organization am I
using? Is it effective/ nice ? Do I like it ? What story do I like that I could imitate?

7. Did I make any mistake ?
Do all the verbs have an s in the third person singular in the dialogues?
Are all my verbs in the simple past in the story telling part ?
Are my pronouns, possessive adjectives coherent ?
Are my adjectives all in the singular because they are invariable...)

Wednesday November, 18th 

NEWS :
Last week-end on Friday night, there were terrorist attacks in Paris, and today, the
police may have found the head of the organisation in Saint-Denis. It's beautiful to see
all the countries being united with France and Paris. The buildings were painted blue,
red and white. Louise and Raphaelle wrote a song about the attacks. It's terrible, really
sad and there are no words to describe it.

In the background we can see a girl with white skin 

she has a red eye and she is crying blood. 

It could be the poster of a movie. 

The girl must be a vampire. 

It must be a scary book  

the book is aimed at teenagers problably for girls. 

The books is for the girls because the main character is 

a girl and boys don't like vampire stories.  

Nicola thinks that is a sexist cliche.
